In this regard, Accountable and Reporting Institutions are requested to provide input on any challenges experienced in complying with PIP-related obligations. This feedback will assist the FIC in identifying practical constraints, improving guidance, and strengthening the overall effectiveness of the national Anti-Money Laundering Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT/CPF) framework.

Institutions are hereby requested to submit written feedback addressing, among others:

  • Practical challenges experienced in identifying and verifying PIPs;

  • Any challenges experienced in applying Enhanced Due Diligence measures to PIPs;

  • Any perceived gaps or ambiguities in the legal framework relating to PIPs; and

  • Any other relevant issues that institutions wish to bring to the attention of the FIC in this regard.

Please submit your responses to fic.legal@fic.na by no later than 30 June 2026.

The FIC appreciates your continued cooperation and contribution towards strengthening Namibia’s AML/CFT/CPF framework.
