Estate Agents Warned Against Paying N$350 for Code of Conduct Assistance

The Namibia Estate Agents Board (NEAB) has become aware of messages circulating among estate agents offering assistance to obtain a Police Code of Conduct within a shorter period for a payment of N$350.

NEAB wishes to caution all estate agents not to pay N$350 or any other unofficial fee to third parties for assistance in obtaining a Code of Conduct.

The official fee for a Police Code of Conduct is N$100.

Applicants who are experiencing delays in receiving their Code of Conduct may still approach NEAB and submit their application using proof of payment or the official N$100 receipt while awaiting the final document, subject to the applicable NEAB requirements.

Agents who have been approached by anyone offering an expedited Code of Conduct service for N$350 are requested to report the matter to NEAB immediately and provide any relevant information, including the message, contact number or payment details.

NEAB urges all applicants to use the official Police process and to avoid making payments to individuals claiming that they can fast-track the issuance of Codes of Conduct.

Do not pay the N$350. Pay only the official N$100 fee and keep your receipt.

For further assistance or to report such offers, please contact the Namibia Estate Agents Board.
