Dear Estate Agents and Agencies,
The Namibia Estate Agents Board (NEAB) wishes to inform all estate agents and agencies of an important clarification regarding the issuance of Fidelity Fund Certificates (FFCs).
While estate agents were previously permitted to renew their registration by submitting either a police clearance receipt or a Certificate of Conduct from a previous year, the issuance of Fidelity Fund Certificates is subject to stricter regulatory requirements.
Certificate of Conduct Requirement
With immediate effect, Fidelity Fund Certificates will only be issued upon submission of a valid and current Certificate of Conduct, which must not be older than six (6) months at the time of submission
Important Notice to Affected Estate Agents
Estate agents who renewed their registration using:
A police clearance receipt, or
A Certificate of Conduct older than six (6) months
are hereby advised that their Fidelity Fund Certificates will be withheld until a current Certificate of Conduct has been submitted and approved.
Compliance
The Board trusts that all estate agents and agencies will take note of this requirement and ensure full compliance to avoid any delays in the issuance of their Fidelity Fund Certificates.
For more information or assistance, please contact the NEAB office (info@neab.co.na).
Yours sincerely,
Mr. Festus Unengu
Manager: Namibia Estate Agents Board
